Desert View Inn

Phil and his wife were very kind. We broke down and barely got our vehicle to Dessert View Inn. Phil helped accommodate our needs and though only had one room with one bed helped get an extra mattress for our kids. He also offered us food as we were stranded. Then also offered to help us with our vehicle next day. Room was clean, had a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, stove and cooking pans and pots. Way better than I had expected. Didn’t use shower but had what you needed.

Phillip was extremely kind, hospitable, accommodating and rad. Helped me greatly in accommodating my health condition.

We stayed here last month while attending to some business. They were accomodating and gave a reasonable cost for an extended stay. The owners seem genuinely interested in being helpful and attentive during the time. You might want to put an exhaust fan in the small washroom since none of the windows can open. We tried to avoid hot showers (due to steam trap) when we noticed some peeling around the shower. Otherwise, the room is fine. Walking around, it seems fairly safe here and a good location. Pets are allowed - however, best taken to one of the nearby dog parks in the area in the mornings. I would definitely stay here again.

Visited in 2023 passing through en route to Roswell from Oregon. It's a hole in the wall but it does the trick and hit the spot during a long roadtrip. It was hotter than hell in the room, but that was still about 20 degrees cooler than it was outside. Very friendly staff - I wish I could remember the name of the old woman that was at the front desk - comfortable beds, clean rooms, a good shower, and there's even pretty good food close by. It's definitely on the outskirts of an already small town though, there ain't much here - not that we expected much. The whole town was a pleasant surprise!

I stayed here for 6 weeks for a Travel Nurse contract and I enjoyed my stay here. I appreciate Luis and Christy for all they did for me. I felt secluded from TorC and made me feel like a part of the family. The owners made me feel welcomed especially when I had an incident at my work. I felt fully supported by everyone and they gave me a safe place to stay for my time there. The rooms are clean and staff are amazing.

If you're in need of a room for the night on your way south this was a great little find. Nothing fancy but a clean room, really reasonable rate and pet friendly. The staff was super friendly over the phone and in person. Shower was good with plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. They even have a small dog run on the side of the building for your pup. There is also a convenience store and bar a short walk next door.
